¿Qué son las conjunciones?
Las conjunciones son palabras que nos ayudan a conectar palabras o frases.
Ejemplo: I eat apples BECAUSE they are good for me.
¿Dónde los ponemos en la frase?
Las conjunciones pueden ir en medio o al principio de una oración (excepto unas cuantas como TOO y THOUGH).
Hay una gran variedad de conjunciones, unas más difíciles que otras. Podemos escoger la que nos parezca más adecuada, la diferencia es que algunas son más formales que otras.

| Condición | if, as/so long as, in case, provided that, unless, whether, only if. |
| Tiempo | Before, after, when, whenever, as, while, until, till, until now, since, for, by the time, as soon as, at the moment. |
Estructura y Ejemplos
1. Después de una conjunction y una preposición usamos el gerundio (in spite of, in the event of, as long as, as to, instead of, as for, etc).
Ejemplo:
In spite of working very hard, he earns little money
2. Although/Even though/Though + oración subordinada/dependiente
Ejemplo:
Although she studied for two weeks, she didn’t pass her exam.
3. Despite/In spite of + sustantivo o la forma –ing del verbo
Ejemplo:
Despite working 60 hours a week he doesn’t have any money.
4. While/whereas/on the other hand/yet/but + oración subordinada/dependiente
Ejemplo: She is very rich
while her sister hasn’t got any money.
5. However/Nevertheless + oración subordinada/dependiente
Ejemplo: Mary lost her job.
However, she wasn’t sad about it.
6. However/no matter how + adjetivo/adverbio + sujeto + verbo.
Ejemplo:
No matter how hard he tries, he’ll never get the job.
